Anne worked as a Commercial Illustrator/Artist within an illustration studio in the early 90s. She then moved to New Zealand and settled in Queenstown and ran a fine art studio and exhibited her watercolour and oil paintings through two galleries – one in the North Island and one in the South Island. While in New Zealand she received many painting awards and ran a number of painting and drawing workshops throughout the South Island.
Upon returning to Australia in 2005, she studied Visual Communication and then worked as a Project Designer for a publishing company for a number of years. She has been working as a freelance illustrator running her own business www.annehayes.com.au since April 2011.
After visiting a native plant exhibition at the Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens in August 2010 she was inspired to join BASQ after seeing their display during the exhibition.
Botanical illustration is now her passion.
