Born in Brisbane she spent her early years growing up in the central Queensland outback, surrounded by red dirt and gidgee trees.
In 2007, she became hooked on botanical art when attending a short course in botanical illustration, then followed several years of tutoring. Botanical art fed her passion for the environment as well as her obsession with details.
Besides botanicals, she also enjoys painting birds and insects, and combing these into her paintings or mixed media.
Her preferred medium are watercolour and coloured pencils; she also enjoys pen and ink, scratchboard, lino printing, eco-printing of natural leaf prints on paper and fabric; and any new medium or technique she can try and combine.
Through her creativity, she hopes to bring awareness to the viewer, to appreciate the small and precious things in nature, the need to protect them and our environment.
